Stream Music & Video content to Xbox console using Play To feature
Allow Play to streaming is an Xbox feature that enables Xbox 360 or Xbox One console to play streamed media from compatible devices and apps in Windows 10, including the Groove Music and Movies & TV apps. To stream music and video content to Xbox, you’ll need to- 1] Enable Play To feature on Xbox Go to Xbox Home, select ‘Settings’ and then ‘System Settings’. Now open ‘Console Settings’ and select ‘Connected Devices’.
Here, check ‘Allow Play To streaming‘ option. 2] Add your Xbox to the list of devices on your computer Go to ‘Start’ > ‘Settings’. Click on ‘Devices’ (Bluetooth, printers, mouse). Choose ‘Connected Devices’ from the left navigation pane. Click ‘Add a Device’. If your Xbox console is turned on, connected to the Internet, and is on the same network as your PC, it should be discover able and listed under your PC.
Now, if you find your Xbox One or Xbox 360 console listed, select it. 3] Stream media from your PC To do this, launch or open the Groove or Movies & TV app on your computer. Select a song or video that’s stored on your computer. Click Play. When presented with ‘Cast To Device’ at the bottom of the screen, tap or click the option. In the end, select your console from the list of devices. If your console is turned on and online, the media will start playing instantly. Enjoy your content on the big screen! It is important to note here that ‘Play To’ is available only on devices that have Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA)-compliant playback capabilities, such as computers and some phones.
